Reconstruction of Jakaram Shiva Temple
The village of Jakaram, located about 40 km from Warangal is home to a Kakatiya-era Trikuta temple, built completely with red sand stone. The
temple dedicated to Lord Siva consists of a garbhagriha, antarala and closed mandapa with porches on three sides. The Department of Heritage Telangana, is currently restoring the beams of this historic temple, by erecting them on mandapa pillars. A special feature of this temple is the presence of decorated walls in common mandapa. This temple was built in 13th Century A.D.
